In April, the DDI Board members accepted Governor Polis' 1 million mask initiative, and committed to creating 6500 masks for the state of Colorado.
They purchased hundreds of yards of fabric and elastic, hundreds of spools of thread, and developed their Sew Squad.
With the assistance of new and talented volunteer sewers, fabric and pattern cutters, and mask kit counters, the Sew Squad has created over 2200 masks for the Denver
Metro area and southern Colorado. The masks are donated to doctor offices, homeless shelters, and many other facilities in need.
The Sew Squad continues to add volunteers to their mask-erade. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
